Everyone feels emotional distress at some point in life. Working with a counselor may provide a deeper understanding of what you are experiencing and give you the support you need to deal with challenges in life. I am here to listen, support, and walk alongside you as you navigate through difficulties. You will have a safe and judgment-free zone with someone who will listen and offer feedback without judgment and authority.
It is my passion to integrate a holistic and natural approach to health, wellness, and wholeness – spirit, soul, and body. Together we can explore possible root causes that may be contributing to undesirable results. As a Christian, I also have an integrative approach to my client’s spirituality and provide counseling that is both clinically excellent and distinctively Christian for those who request it. Each individual client dictates how spirituality is integrated into our sessions, and all religions and beliefs are valued and respected.
As a task-oriented individual, I enjoy helping others achieve their goals through Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Together we will create actionable steps to get you closer to where you want to be in life.
Education and Background
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas under the supervision of C. Huston McComb, Jr. I earned my BS in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Texas Tech University, and MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Houston Baptist University. It was a pleasure to complete my student practicum and internship at Judah Christian Counseling & Recovery under the supervision of C. Huston McComb, Jr., LPC-S. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and working with clients at Judah and look forward to continuing my journey here as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate.
When I am not counseling, my husband, daughter, and I love to travel and enjoy visiting museums, libraries, or historical sites. Some of my other interests include music and crafting.
