Christi Tullos
MABC, LPC-Associate
When we’re walking through suffering, I believe that God is able to do abundantly more than we could ask or imagine. Navigating life and suffering in our world is hard and tricky and complicated, and we need people to walk alongside us and give us hope as we go. As a counselor, my hope is to come alongside you as you walk through the highs and lows of this life. I hope to help you see that there is abundant hope, whatever you are walking through. As you face challenges, it’s a privilege to help you navigate that which feels uncertain and heavy.
My therapeutic background has been shaped through my experiences working with adolescents and young adults within non–profit organizations and ministries over the last several years. My desire is to meet each client right where they are and to create a safe place for healing to happen. My therapeutic interests include anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, family of origin issues, trauma, and much more.
Education and Background
I am originally from Corpus Christi, Texas. I moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas for my Bachelor’s degree in English. I absolutely loved living in Austin and love to get back there whenever I can to cheer on my Longhorns. I moved to Houston for a short career in education. Then, I began working for Young Life here in Houston, where I spent five years doing full time ministry, while attending Dallas Theological Seminary to obtain my master's degree in Biblical Counseling. Counseling is the call on my life, and it’s my honor to walk with you towards healing.
I’m a big fan of Jesus, country music, crime shows, the Enneagram, and books of all kinds. My favorite job in this world, aside from being a counselor, is being Aunt CC to my niece and nephews.
