COVID-19 Office Policy
At Judah Christian Counseling & Recovery, we are committed to the health and wellbeing of our clients. Due to the Texas mask mandate being rescinded on March 10th, 2021, we are updating our mask and office policies.
We want to ensure that all clients are made to feel safe and comfortable during their sessions and are treated with respect according to their choice. We have made the decision to continue to follow the CDC guidelines for masks and social distancing. Therefore, our policy until further notice, will be as follows:
-
If a client's appointment is in an office that allows for distance of 6 feet, the client will have the choice whether to war a mask or not. The same rule applies to the counselor. If the client is more comfortable wearing a mask, then both client and counselor will wear their masks. The same rule also applies to the counselor.
-
If the appointment takes place in an office that does not allow for social distancing, masks will still be required.
-
In the waiting area, masks are still required.
-
In the event of possible exposure, clients that are affected will be notified immediately.
-
If you have had a possible exposure to COVID-19 within the last 14 days, please reschedule your appointment or request it to be changed to remote until you either have a negative test result or have quarantined for at least 10 days with no symptoms.
We will also continue to do the following:
-
Sanitize each room after each client, along with the waiting area.
-
Counselors are required to wash their hands between sessions.
-
Our video platform is encrypted and meets all state and federal standards for delivery of mental health services. In the event the physical office does close, we will continue to conduct sessions by phone and by video.
-
Payment for phone, video, or in person sessions will remain the same. You may pay online through the link in your invoice, or by check or cash if in person.
-
If you wish to schedule an appointment or if you need more information regarding our services, please reach out by phone at (346) 302-8089 or email us at Laura.Torres@JudahChristianCounseling.com .
As our community continues to deal with the changes brought by this pandemic or as you go through changes in your personal life, please remember that our counseling team is available to you and your family. Our counselors can provide you with the skills, resources, insight, and prayer that can truly make a difference in your wellbeing.
