As humans traverse along this journey called life, one should never feel that they are walking in solitude. The experience of relational conversations that affirm, support, uplift and empower should be a common occurrence, yet sometimes, that is not the case. Therefore, I do the work that I do; I counsel, I pray, I encourage, and I motivate. As a counselor, my prayer is to help individuals reach their personal goals, assist in restoring relationships, encourage children and adolescents to become their personal best and offer a sense of hope to families and marriages. It is my desire for my clients to live abundantly, happy, healthy and whole. So, if you feel like your emotional wheels are spinning out of control, let me help you take back your power by embracing the gifts inside of you in a safe and warm environment that is filled with joy!
My experience as a certified school counselor for 20+ years has afforded me the opportunity to work with children from various backgrounds at the elementary, middle school and high school level. I specialize in working with kids, teens, and adolescents who need extra support with emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief and trauma, and day to day coping skills. The top techniques I use are Solution Focused Brief Counseling and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition, I enjoy using creative therapeutic techniques such as sand trays, play, art, drama, coloring and narratives during my sessions because I want my clients to feel that they can express themselves freely in a non-judgmental and inviting space. Christian Counseling is available upon request.
