LPC-Associate, NCC
Welcome to your journey of healing and wholeness. I am so happy you are here.
I am passionate about helping individuals live healthy, healed, and whole lives. For me, being a therapist is more than a profession; it is a calling and a great privilege to be a part of your transformative journey towards a more authentic and fulfilling life.
A Tailored Approach to Therapy
I believe that every client is unique and possesses a different story. Therefore, my therapeutic style is eclectic, drawing from various techniques and theories to meet the specific needs of each individual. My approach incorporates Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and mindfulness based techniques.
A Safe and Empathic Space
When you step into my therapy space, you can expect a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental environment. My primary goal is to make you feel seen, heard, and validated throughout the therapeutic process. I hold a strong belief that genuine healing occurs when we create a safe space to explore and confront life's challenges. We will collaborate with one another in setting goals and tapping into your inner strengths and resources. I am committed to helping you gain a greater sense of self-awareness and emotional regulation. I believe that everyone has the potential to heal and grow and would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
Integrating Faith
As a Christian myself, I am equipped to incorporate our faith into our sessions, should you desire. However, I am also respectful of other faiths as well. While relying on my education and experience, I also welcome guidance from the Holy Spirit to enhance our therapeutic approach.
Education and Background
I have had the opportunity to work with children and adolescents in the DFPS system that have experienced physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, and neglect. I completed a portion of my practicum at a pregnancy center that focused on women's issues, children/adolescents, parenting and more. My academic journey includes a Bachelor's degree in Counseling Psychology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston Clear Lake.
In my free time, I enjoy reading a good book and sipping hot tea. I believe in the importance of self-care and strive to practice what I preach. I strive to have a balanced healthy lifestyle. I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, friends/family, working out, and making new recipes.
Take the First Step
Embarking on the path of therapy takes courage, and I commend you for considering it. Feel free to reach out to our administrative team to schedule an appointment with me.
I look forward to joining you on this transformative adventure.
